Reptar: good for light listening.

By Katie Shepley

Reptar, an Indie pop band from Athens, Georgia and named after the dinosaur from ‘Rugrats’, have released an eccentric and upbeat debut album titled ‘Body Faucet’ (2012). The album is fast paced and with a variety of percussion sounds, adding an African element to their music. In spite of the fun, upbeat vibe, the similarity of all the tracks wears on the listener as the album progresses. Serious listeners may find this album lacking in substance and an imitation of bands such as Vampire Weekend. But for some light listening Reptar will suffice.

Recommended Tracks: 1-Sebastian, 4-Orifice Origami, 12- Water Runs.
